About Us
In the spring of 2012, fellow Pitt students Dan Veres and Jay Crammond set about starting Pitt's very own finer things club. After numerous signatures, countless meetings, and a five-page handwritten constitution, TFTC was born.
You're probably wondering what the Finer Things club is all about, eh? While words can't do it justice, the best way to understand the Finer Things Club is through its three main components:

Cultural Events
The first aspect of the Finer Things Club is its cultural events. Throughout the year, the club will attend different concerts, theatrical performances, museums, restaurants, art shows and exhibits. These events are meant to introduce students to different areas of culture and hopefully instill within students a love for the fine arts.
These events will include trips to see the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra play at Heinz Hall, the Pittsburgh Opera perform at the Benedum Center, and famous works of art at the Carnegie Art Museum, the Frick Art Museum, and the Andy Warhol Museum, to name a few.

As important as the cultural events are to the club, an equally important aspect is the club's wildly popular parties. After all, an essential part of the college experience is socializing and making new friends.
In order to increase club unity and create our family-like atmosphere, TFTC will host a wide range of parties and social events throughout the school year. These gatherings give members a chance to relax, get to know each other, and hopefully make strong, lasting friendships with each other.
However, rather than fall into the habit of typical college parties, TFTC aims for a more distinguished, classier atmosphere. Different events to expect are a Suit and Tie / LBD party, a throwback 70's party, and, of course, our annual Murder Mystery Party.

Lessons in Class
Finally the most important part of the club is helping students become young ladies and gentlemen in society. Knowing proper etiquette and showing class will be tools you can rely on for the rest of your life. Through the professionals we bring in and our own series of etiquette classes we offer to students, our hope is that everyone learns something they can keep with them forever.
